I was born in Montreal, Quebec. I hitch-hiked all over Canada for several years, then worked as a handyman/renovator in Toronto.
When I moved to Huntsville in 2003 I immediately discovered a new passion – building furniture with rocks found in the forest, and later, from slabs of granite from a local quarry. It felt very natural to work with rocks, and exciting to design furniture based on what shapes I could find. When I figured out how to attach rocks to tree parts and to other rocks, then anything was possible and Rudinian Rockworks has gone off in many directions since then.
