Jennifer Alexis is a Muskoka-based interdisciplinary artist whose work explores climate change, conservation, and personal resilience. With early recognition for her environmental art, including a collaboration with Dr. Richard Leakey, she later combined her creative talents with a career in sustainable development. Following a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2021, Jennifer returned to visual art with renewed purpose, using her ambidextrous abilities to create powerful, emotionally resonant pieces. Her current work includes the canoe mural project, as well as several commissioned pieces.
