Carolyne’s artworks are informed by creative instincts she’s honed over her lengthy career as a graphic designer. She paints with larger than life colours, and enjoys the freedom of brush movement that larger canvases allow. Many creations make their way from canvas and traditional illustrative techniques into digital workspaces, and are often integrated into her graphic design work. Working primarily in acrylic, subjects are usually approached from a close-up view, and include the people, places, and things that have captivated her attention and impacted her life.
Carolyne lives in Muskoka surrounded by trees, rocks and water, where she creates artwork at every opportunity. Her recent foray into the world of horticulture is reflected in her recent works. Viewing the subjects through Carolyne’s perspective is a unique, colourful and uplifting experience.
